New Mining Law: Statement of reasons, ABCs of the initiative and proposed articles

The National Government, through the Ministry of Mines and Energy, has submitted to the Congress of the Republic the Law “THROUGH WHICH THE MINING LAW FOR JUST ENERGY TRANSITION, NATIONAL REINDUSTRIALIZATION AND MINING FOR LIFE IS ISSUED” AND OTHER PROVISIONS ARE ISSUED” .
Below we share the text of the proposed articles, submitted by the National Government to the Congress of the Republic, its statement of reasons and the ABCs of the main aspects introduced in the project.
We will soon publish an analysis of the legal implications of the new rules and provisions included in the project, in a video analysis as part of our "Legal Debates" series; meanwhile, we will be attentive to your concerns and questions regarding this new initiative that impacts the Colombian mining and energy sector and investors interested in such activity.
