We are a firm with 25 years of experience in public and legal affairs for the sustainability of regulated sectors, litigation, conflict resolution, and legal and regulatory strategy, led by Gustavo Adolfo Guerrero Ruiz , former Deputy Attorney General for Environmental, Mining, Energy and Agrarian Affairs, recognized for his extensive experience in the practice and academia of public, constitutional, administrative, environmental, mining, energy, urban and agrarian law, among other areas, as well as in the design and execution of legal strategies in public affairs for regulated sectors, public institutions and international organizations.

Our evolution

The trajectory of Guerrero Ruiz | Legal reflects a natural evolution from its recognized specialty in environmental law towards a comprehensive practice in law and public affairs of the regulated sectors of economic development .

This expansion is based on the institutional experience of its founding partner, Gustavo Guerrero Ruiz , who between 2022 and 2025 served as Deputy Attorney for Environmental, Mining-Energy and Agricultural Affairs of Colombia , acquiring a cross-cutting vision of the functioning of the regulatory State and the legal dynamics of the strategic-productive sectors.

On that basis, the firm now consolidates a specialized offering that articulates environmental advice with regulation, public procurement, litigation and corporate risk management, providing high-level legal solutions to companies, associations and public entities that operate in the energy, mining, agro-industrial, infrastructure, urban and public services sectors.
